Social media is shifting quickly for Generator and Manifesting Generator entrepreneurs and business owners as we enter the Cross of Sleeping Phoenix + the Aquarian Age

 
 

If you’re an online entrepreneur, content creator, or business owner and you’ve felt like what you’ve been doing on social media just isn’t working anymore… you’re not alone.

And honestly? You’re not wrong.

Things are shifting.

Yes, it’s easy to blame the algorithm — and sure, that’s part of it. But that’s the surface-level explanation. I’m more interested in the deeper underlying energy of why this shift is happening… and why it’s showing up in these very real, practical ways.

Because if we can align with the new energy, we can still be wildly successful during this time.

The old social media paradigm: Hierarchy-based positioning

My thesis is that social media used to operate on a hierarchy system — and it pretty much has since the beginning.

Success online was built on positioning yourself as someone who had something other people didn’t:

  • More success

  • A better lifestyle

  • More knowledge

  • A “secret” framework

  • A proven method

People followed “up” the hierarchy.

And the hook was usually some version of:

  • “I have consistent $100k months in my business — here’s how.”

  • “Most people are doing it wrong — here’s what you should do.”

  • “Steal my framework.”

If you boil it down, the underlying question in all of these posts was:

Why should you listen to me? Why should you pay attention to me?

And the implied answer was:

Because I have something you don’t.
Because I’m more successful. More elevated. More knowledgeable.

But that hierarchy-based positioning is what’s no longer working.

The New Paradigm: Identity-Based Resonance

We’re moving from a time of positioning based on hierarchy… to positioning based on identity.

Instead of implicitly asking:

“Do you want what I have?”

We’re now asking:

“Do you see yourself in me?”
“Do you connect with what I’m sharing?”
“Does your identity resonate with mine?”
“Do you recognize yourself and your experiences in what I’m saying?”

And to be clear: this is not about being “relatable” or oversharing.

There’s a lot of performative oversharing out there that’s still rooted in hierarchy — because it’s still about subtly positioning yourself above other people.

This new paradigm is about transmitting something that is specific and real to who you are.

Instead of:

“Look what I have. Do you want this?”

It becomes:

“Do you also see the world this way?”
“This is what I’m noticing.”
“This is how I operate.”
“What about you?”

What this means for Generator & Manifesting Generator entrepreneurs

They’re looking for someone whose identity resonates with theirs.

And that’s who they’re going to follow.
That’s who they’re going to buy from.

We don’t need millions of people — we need the right ones

I’m not a broadly relatable person.

Most of my life choices aren’t relatable to the masses — and in many cases, they aren’t even relatable to the people closest to me.

I have a narrow niche (Generator and Manifesting Generator entrepreneurs, online business owneres, and creatives) in a topic (Human Design) that isn’t widely known or popular.

But what I’m doing is deeply resonant to the right people.

That’s who I’m creating content for. That’s who I want to pull in.

And unless you’re trying to be an influencer with 3 million followers…

You don’t need that many people’s eyes on your work.

And here’s the part that’s freeing for any Generator or Manifesting Generator entrepreneur:

You don’t need millions of people to resonate with you — or even hundreds of thousands, or even thousands necessarily.

You just need the right people to resonate and want to buy from you.

That’s how you become incredibly successful online now.

“Threading the Needle”: The new way to thrive online

This is what I call threading the needle.

Outside the eye of the needle is all the noise:

  • The pressure to go viral

  • The algorithms

  • The content that appeals to the masses

  • The trends that flatten your voice

Threading the needle is cutting through all of that…

…and reaching the exact right people — the ones who resonate with you and would want to buy from you.

It’s about broadcasting a very specific frequency so the right people can match it.

How do we know if this new way is working?

I saw some great examples of this in my own work recently.

Example #1: YouTube (Lower Views, Higher CTR)

My last YouTube video didn’t get as many views initially as it typically does.

But when I looked at the analytics, I saw my click-through rate was higher.

So basically:

The algorithm wasn’t showing the video to as many people… because it was a very specific type of video for a very specific audience.

But of the people who did see it?

More people clicked.
And they watched longer.

And I was like: yes. This is exactly what’s going to work in this new paradigm.

Example #2: Instagram (Not Viral, But High-Intent Actions)

Same thing on Instagram.

I had a post that definitely wasn’t the kind of post that would go viral.

At first I was disappointed — the metrics didn’t look “that good.”

But then I noticed something else: a lot of people clicked through and downloaded my new free guide to the 2026 and 2027 energies… without me even doing a call to action. All I did was mention it.

And I thought: exactly. It called in the right people.

How the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix ties into this shift

If you’ve been feeling like the old social media rules don’t fit anymore, you’re picking up on something real.

In Human Design, the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix is associated with themes of:

  • Rebirth and reinvention

  • Self-empowerment and self-direction

  • A new way of living and creating from inner truth

And that’s exactly what this shift is asking of online creators:

Not “How do I rise to the top?”

But:

“Can people feel who I am?”“Am I transmitting something true?”“Am I willing to be specific enough that not everyone resonates?”

Because that’s the other side of this:

Some people won’t resonate with you.

Some people might even dislike what you’re doing.

And that’s okay.

The ones who do resonate are the ones who matter.
